Coming next April to the Imperial War Museum in London will be the first comprehensive exhibition exploring the Bond phenomenon and the life of Ian Fleming. The exhibition, titled “For Your Eyes Only: Ian Fleming and James Bond” will showcase Fleming’s personal effects and numerous Bond memorabilia and will attempt to answer where many aspects of the novels come from such as plots, villains, girls, etc. The exhibition will run from April 25, 2008, to March 1, 2009. Accompanying the exhibition will be a new book by Ben Macintyre also called “For Your Eyes Only: Ian Fleming and James Bond” that will be published by Bloomsbury in April 2008. (Timesonline)
Next year is really going to be quite awesome for Bond fans. Bond 22, Devil May Care, Final Fling, the SilverFin graphic novel, Double or Die in the US, and now an exhibition and at least one non-fiction book that we know of. Who knows what else, maybe even Young Bond Book 5. Exciting times.
